Guest guest Posted July 27, 2004 Report Share Posted July 27, 2004 i don't think they checked my girls when i delivered them but i'll definitely have her blood checked after the next peds appt b/c her and i have been drinking sssssilk soy milk ssince about a year ago and read that it causes hypothyroid - ssso i'll see what the doc says and see why they recommend soy formula to babies. i'm sorry your daughter has it......it is rather shocking when you get the news. -- i was 34 and that was the only time i had anything wrong with me - but i took a litle pill a day for almost 5 years and couldn't tell anything was wrong so i figured no biggie....what needs to be realized that can be learned on here andd researching the net and learn about triggers -- mine was either/or childbirth or c-section with the last baby - make ssure you both know the symptoms just to keep a handee on things. visit our website www.geocities.com/tanyarn96/countryside.html www.poncetihomes.com -- Any of you with children with hypothyroidism? I believe my mom's last years were extreme hypo but she'd never been diagnosed... She eventually died of a heart attack, her third one.
