Guest guest
Did fine on 9hr 21 min. flight to HI. Used AIRSEP portable concentrator at both airports. Have taken photos which will post when I return home. Today is the 1/2 way point of our vacation. Was glad we only were spending 2 days at Hilton Hawaiian Village hotel as that resort is so big it required a lot of walking for me. But I did get in the swimming pool the one day with my 50' oxygen hose connected to my E tank on the cart. However, the physical therapist from the lung transplant team who had advised me that swimming probably wouldn't be good for me because water pressure is too hard on your lungs when you have this disease was apparently right as I could feel the pressure when I dipped down in the water and swam just a few feet. On Aug 2nd we began our stay at the New Otani Kaimana hotel which is a smaller, quieter hotel right on the beach new Kapiolani Park and Diamond Head and it is great. This afternoon I stayed in our hotel room with Baby Maile while the rest of the family went downstairs to the beach to swim. Last evening we had a pizza party in our room and when my son and family first arrived the 2 year old twins were so excited and kept saying Ocean. At 8 p.m. they got to see the fireworks that Hilton Hi. VIllage provides every Fri. eve. Tomorrow we are going to Kahala hotel for brunch and the kids will be excited to see the dolphins. The Tradewinds are blowing and I've been feeling good so hope the winds keep blowing. Tonight Jeff and I are baby sitting (but the kids are in bed already) so and Sandy can enjoy having dinner out alone. Appreciate your prayers for the rest of my trip and my flight home. We leave here on the 9th and arrive the 10th. Love and ALoha, Judy IPF 11/
