Guest guest
Yes, We use Meditech to schedule 30 PT/OT clinicians at three separate locations. It is not the fastest system, but it works pretty well. It is the system that we have to use as it is the system that our hospital uses. Guest guest
We have been using the Meditech Scheduling Module for about 2 1/2 years. Initially, it was much easier to use a book than the module itself due to the number of screens necessary to navigate throughout the system. The more help we were able to get from the company on shortcuts to move through the system, the faster our scheduler has become. There are some days we would like to throw it out again, but overall, it seems to work. Please write with any specific questions. Guest guest
We have been using Meditech for registration and scheduling for about 2 years and I think we have adjusted well. PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs and SLPs are all scheduled in the system. Some schedule their own patients, but most is done by our Front Office Staff. Different types of appointments are available dependent upon the credentials of the staff member; for instance, an Eval cannot be booked on a PTA. We are able to book " rooms " as well as employees by the type of appointment; for example if mech. txn is chosen as the appointment type the system automatically books both the employee and the traction booth. Some things that we think helped: We insisted on doing the registration and scheduling in our department rather than in a central location. We overlapped written and computer-based schedules for about 4 weeks. We have a " super-user " in the department to troubleshoot before we go back to Information Systems for help. Some of the drawbacks compared to the old system: We cannot view all patients (by name) and all employees at the same time. We often have multiple windows open to accommodate for the view problems. We have had a few glitches scheduling patients after system upgrades. Feel free to call or email me directly if you have other questions. Guest guest
We have looked into using the Meditech module for scheduling in the rehab dept since just about everything else we do is in the Meditech system. We found it too cumbersome due to the complicated dynamics of managing a schedule with a dozen clinicians and caseloads of recurring patients. The Meditech module appears suitable if you're dealing with one time visits such as in Lab or Radiology (where they are using the Meditech scheduling system) and initially setting up a recurring patient appears straightforward in the Meditech system but as soon as those recurring patients want to modify their established appointment (i.e. come in at a different time on a particular day)and you multilply this situation numerous times (many clinicians)the system becomes unbearable, at least the last version that I examined. If you find a version that works for you, please let me know so that I can revisit the issue. Currently we're using the SpectraSoft program to handle our needs. Guest guest
We use Meditech for scheduling our rehab outpatients patients. We schedule for about 6 PT's and PTA's on a daily basis. We change patient schedules without too much of a problem. Is the company assisting you with setting up the scheduling module?
