I live near Dothan in the southeast corner of the state very close to the Florida line. Huntsville is in the north near the Tennessee line.

Our Pastor and his family were assistant pastor in a church in Huntsville Alabama...are you near there? What is the name of your town?

You misunderstood me and I think Patti also. I did not say anything about manners. I said they are more comfortable around people of all ages and abillities. Manners certainly do come from the home. I am talking about kids being able to engage meaningful conversation with younger and older from three year olds to 103 year olds and enjoying it. Home schooled kids relate better with their parents and siblings. At least this has been my experience. Agreed non-homeschooled children can have this same talent, but I have found that as a rule of thumb home-schooled kids are far more adept at this that children who mostly only socialize only with their peers. Also, I didn't say anything about not being involved in church. Both mine and Patti's kids are involved in church.

Also please know that I don't think home schooling is for everybody. Everyone has to make their own decisions. I don't think more or less of anyone based on that criteria.

Blessings,

Debbie K.

I have to disagree a little. I don't think it is whether your child is home, private or public schooled. It is about what goes on in the home. And also I strongly believe that kids should be involved in church and that makes a world of difference.-----

That is the beauty of home schooled kids. They know how to relate to, and are comfortable around people of all ages and abilities because they don't spend so much time segregated with their own exact age. Their social skills are light years ahead of many many other kids...... at least that's my experience.

And you have people that are Christian but some Christians wouldn't

consider Christian.

variety of people with something in common. Even if the something is

somewhat unfortunate, we can all pool our collective resources to

learn and study. And I think that's the greatest thing about this

group.

I agree with you totally ! I really enjoy these lists that I am on. I

have learned so much and am so grateful ! And it is even sweeter to meet

some believers too!
