Guest guest
What mountains did you see??? Where are you from/do you live now, that you don't see mountains often? I live in CT, but we don't have much for mountains---we do have some shoreline though!!! But my dad has a cabin in Maine, so I've seen mountains there almost every year since I was born. And last year or year before, for work, I traveled to our office in Asheville, NC (unfortunately, no time to see the Biltmore Estate!!!), but wow, those were some beautiful mountains I saw!!! (Especially since I drove from Asheville to Charlotte, as my flight in on the small puddle jumper was rough, so I changed my flight and drove to Charlotte rather than fly a short hop!!!). Those mountains were beautiful, relaxing, and amazing----it was just too bad I was on my way to airport and was unable to enjoy them more!!! I guess no matter where you live, you always want to see "whatever" is somewhere else, be it mountains, ocean, desert, or even the "big city!!". I, in Fairfield County, CT, am very close to NYC (about an hour train ride), so I can experience the city when I want/need to, but I'm also close to Long Island Sound for the salt water (minus the big waves!), and I can drive inland or more into "New England" to see "wilderness" per se (but I guess nothing like those great state parks out west with the humungous trees, etc). One thing I have never seen though is the desert---like in Arizona. I'd love to see it, but not sure how long I'd want to stay----much too hot for me I would imagine!!!! Anyways, glad you had a good trip!!! Guest guest
The desert is really nice in the spring. Temps are not bad in the daytime but still is cold (60F) at night. The air is very dry so the heat is different than heat back east where the humidity gets over 50%. I live on the SoCal coast, about an hours drive west of the desert. We have some mountains but nothing like the Rockies. > justy got back had a great time i willl get back with everybody later > man we seen some mountains beautiful 2nd time i ever seen mountains > first was when i was very young my husband never has we had a great > time but today was very tiresome we were pushing it to get home so i > am very tired will get back later got tons of pictures > cheryl > > > > >

Guest guest
You should come to Oregon we have lots of mountains All that cascade area is beautiful- and so is Mt St Helens. My husband does the real thing like Ranier- I was only able to get half way up that one because I had no ice training for the glaciers...I live near the appalachians but THOSE western mountains are HUGE!!
