Michele,

Just read you last post about having a tubal. Do you think that causes the

breakthrough? I had a tubal 7 months ago and have the same problem. I

didn't at first, just started last 2 cycles, so I'm wondering if it's related

to the fibroid or the tubal? Any thoughts?

Vivienne:

Are your fibroids growing? Are you on hormone replacement therapy? That

might be causing them to grow. I'm 55 and am still perimenopausal and am

looking forward to seeing my fibroid SHRINK after menopause.

Hi,

I'm 60 with fibroids so I am atypical of this group. At least I don't have

to consider the fertility issues. But why growing fibroids post-menopause?

the bleeding on and off all month. So I guess that does not go along with

the fibroids? If and when the fibroids disappear at menopause what do they

come out as? Maybe it's degenerated fibroids? Hoping...Michele

Hi Vivienne,

I'm 52 and my fibroids started going two years ago. When did your fibroids

start growing?

,

I'm sorry to say that you've stumped me...I wish I knew more to answer your

questions but I'm not sure what could be causing your breakthrough bleeding.

What has your doc. said?

Hi, Sylvia

Judging by my (mild) difficulties with peeing, 6-7 years ago! I assumed it

was a manifestation of tension!

Yes to both, but my doctor is reducing the estrogen in my HRT (it is a

customised natural compound). Since (in hindsight) I know that my fibroids

have been growing since menopause, before I started HRT , mine cannot be

estrogen related. I have also been having a huge crop of skin tags since

menopause began and I understand that these could be related.

Those little flesh colored mole-like things that are attached from

the skin on a small base, that are usually found on the neck or

upper body.
