Guest guest
Oh, wow, you scare me. Does everyone eventually burn??? I've done my 11th treatment, so I'm starting my 3rd week. Doctor told me things would start changing in 3rd week. I have noticed some discoloration, some brown (below my breast) but some red (above my breast, on chest area). I was hoping I wouldn't "burn". I use Biafine (I think that's what it's called), 3X a day. I thought this was some sort of "preventitive"? I do have sulfadine at home (my son had a very bad hand burn 2 years ago, so have a container of that)---I guess I will ask doctor next week about that. But does EVERYONE having radiation burn???? Might some people only turn tan? Do you itch also? I seem to be feeling an "itch" every once in a while, but haven't given in to it yet!!! Now I'm getting worried! It is the most uncomfortable thing you could have happen to you. I burned so bad that I had to wear a gauze vest and use silvadine creme. I couldnt walk with my arm down had to prop it on hip, I souldnt stand my skin touching. Remember preventative treatment is the way to go. Guest guest
Patty I didn't burn just got red near the end. I too used biafine and I think it helped. Stay positive. Also near the end use the aquaphor ointment on the nipple as it got really dry on me. > Sorry I didnt have our pool then. I never even thought about it hto.
