Guest guest
I had my hormone levels drawn in November also ... and I am starting menopause ... is anyone here on hormone replacement therapy? My GP seems to be 100% against it. Re: New Member , Welcome... We don't have many here with Grave's... but we'll help where we can. What were your levels at your last labs? It's been almost a year so I don't have them ... I'm setting up an appt. soon. You haven't mentioned what type of replacement hormone they put you on after the RAI..... I take Armour Thyroid (natural thyroid replacement) So I guess, to start.. What have the results of your labs been since the RAI? Borderline high What med are you on now and at what dose? .165 mcg once per day How long have you been on that dose? The doctor changes my dosage at least once a year ... seems never to get it right. It sounds like your levels might be low (hormone levels) and you're swinging farther hypo... that's the way I feel ... but the test are all "borderline" You've been to the Phoenix site.. did you happen to check out the page on self monitoring? www.thyrophoenix.com/self_monitor.htm How did your numbers come out? My basel rate is always around 96.5 - 97.2 My respiration is low ... I've told my doctor ... and my therapist sometimes I don't have enough energy to breath ... they think it's depression. But I also have panic attacks and hyperventilate ... so I'm weird. And heart rate normal to high ... because of panic attacks ... My husband is hypo ... has been on .200 mcg for about 20 years, temp is also always below normal.
Guest guest
I may change my mind too... won't know until I get there and find out how bad it is for me... I've never really had PMS.. and since I got away from commercial feminine products I hardly even know I have a period when it comes... No pain at all, not even much for bloating or anything... It's more or less just a pain in the butt because I have to take care of changing and washing pads... and I can't sleep totally in the buff!
