oh oh oh nooooooooo

I have good cries over the dumbest stuff... although not as bad as I was....

I cried in the car today, cause of a song.... that's why I don't do music much anymore. I cried during Dharma and Greg last night... at the end.. him sitting on the stairs as she comes home and says 'What took you so long?' I lost it.

Sometimes I just cry cause my life sucks.

I cry reading some of the posts to the group. They remind me of me... before. I don't want people to feel that way. I want to make everyone better.....

sigh.....

I cry when I remember what it was like to have good and loyal friends around me. Those all migrated away from me as my hypo got worse. Neither they nor I understood what was wrong. I knew that I was in pain and tired and couldn't do stuff like I used to.. they said that I was just a lazy user..... so I was abandoned.

I remember when I was living with my 'best friend' after my boyfriend tossed me out on the street so he could play with boys..... she said that I had to go out and shovel. We'd been friends since just before my RAI so she'd watched my down hill slide.. but considered it laziness. I went out to shovel.. I got about five feet of sidewalk done and then toppled over sideways in the snow. My leg gave out on me. She came out hollering that she was tired of watching the show I was putting on, she'd do it herself.

I was hurt two ways that day... that I couldn't do the work, and that she called me a liar.

Then I got new friends.. the ones that I talked about yesterday... the ones that thought I was a handy thing to have on the shelf....

okay.. not going into dark places today... I had a good day yesterday and plan on having a good day today!!!!

Now, well, I have you guys as friends, right?

you mean it takes someone picking on you to start you crying? Oh, you are so lucky. I called a friend to arrange care for puppy and kitten [we're going away Saturday, coming back next weekend. I'll be going no mail today or tomorrow] and I started sobbing on the phone. I DO NOT LIKE to cry in public [that would be me + one other person]. Now I stupid cry wherever I am, with just anybody looking on [or listening] for really dumb reasons-if any. I'm blaming this on my thyroid, in which the nodule is growing every week. I can feel it. I REALLY scared my friend- in 9 years of being close, she's never seen me cry as much as she has in the last 5 months.

Now Topper, you know we only pick on those we love! ;-)

sincerely, edumom, mother of boys ages 13-15

NO GIRLS ALLOWED!!!!

My opinion on all our emotional sensitivities is that we're just little old "adrenal" people. Adrenal people feel everything, including everyone else's pain. We can also be taken advantage of easier because we literally bleed for someone else's miseries so easily, and that seems to leave us wide open to plenty of stuff. Somewhere, in one of those links, I read the personality profiles in each endocrine type of person----those that have strong adrenals, stronger adrenals AND thyroids, weaker, etc.....including the gonads, pituitary strong people, and all kinds of things like this. They give the reasons why this is scientifically speaking (body chemicals), so there really isn't anything mystical about it, and it makes very good sense why this is. People who always had/developed weaker adrenals early on, seem to form this personality type we're talking about here. People with strong adrenals really don't give a C**P about worrying over anything or anyone, and just sail through life without a conscience and they don't take anything hard and never let anyone take advantage of them because they are very self preserving, etc....It's very interesting. The trouble is that, once we've already learned this behavior, it's very hard for us to undo it, and some of the damage that is done to us can be devastating.

I cry wayyyy to much ... it's like I have no control over my emotions. Commercials ... TV Programs ... Marching Bands ... while talking ... songs ... about the way I feel ... and heck ... I cry cause I cry to much ... *sigh*

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad ... and hope you return soon!

You got a point there, .... I feel sorry for folks and don't want to speak my mind, even if it's at my expense, far too often.... But for my own preservation, sanity, life... I have to alter that. I still will give folks a chance to 'do right' but if the come back with another shovel load of s**t or keep showin up late... Like I said.. by myself I can be a lot happier...

*shrug*

When I look back at some folks in my past and realize what I've all learned and could share with them..... but I won't.. cause they didn't care about me when I was the one in need.

They is that dark place in my mind again... I need to concentrate on today.. and tomorrow.. not days gone by, right?

Yes, and the trouble is that, once it's there, it is much harder to undo, even when we see beyond the trees. It's a trained brain, but it is possible. The article that I was talking about on the personality types for the different endocrine strengths also said it may very well be that depressed people (probably adrenal weakness) are seeing the world the way it REALLY is, and people who don't care, more or less, with all these endocrine strengths, actually see the world through "rose colored glasses". I remember being exTREMELY sensitive to everything, as a child, but was not an abused child, only in my marriages.

I won't get real deep into this.. but I agree with you about some folks seeing through rose colored glasses... as if they don't actually see what is around them... Then they tell me that I take things too seriously. Well, yeah... Some things are serious, whether you want them to be or not!
