Guest guest
Hi Deb Pain--I would rate at a 7. I found the tightness in the tummy area the hardest thing to adjust to. At first I could barely stand upright or sleep flat out. When I first got home from the hospital I slept in a recliner. It took a couple of weeks before I could sleep in the bed again. Cleaning--About 3 weeks after my surgery I started doing light house work. I couldn't do any vacuuming etc. because of the abdominal surgery. They want you to wait 6 weeks before even thinking about using those muscles. Driving--I started driving about 3 weeks after. I found it was hard to do shoulder checks but other wise it was ok. Clothes--I wore loose clothes, nothing tight around my waist because it takes quite a while for all of the swelling to go down. Someone suggest wearing a loose housedress but I wore baggy shirts and sweat pants. I didn't start wearing a bra until I started going out more. At home I didn't bother. I went home with a drain in my tummy and I had it for another 4 weeks. My surgeon said it wasn't unusual to have it for so long. I still don't like to wear anything tight at my waist. I had to buy some looser jeans. I wore overalls a lot. I would definetly do it all over again. It was harder than I thought it was going to be but it was worth it. Recovery is a lot longer than it would have been if I had gotten an implant put in but I like the results. I am going to wait until the fall and then decide if I want to do a lift on my other breast and when I want to get the nipple done. I hope that helps. If you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask. Judy
