Hi ,

Sorry to hear you are in pain. I'm on Lupron right now (had my 1st and last

shot about 1 month ago). I'm experiencing joint pain also, I didn't realize

it might be from the Lupron. My obgyn suggested taking a good calcium

supplement. Maybe your doctor could recommend something.

Hopefully it will go away soon!

Hi guys, Is there anything I can do for the joint

pain I am getting with the Lupron . This is the

second shot I got and my fingers, feet and back are in

pain, Not constantly but enough to get me nervous.

Also, My skin is very tender to the touch. Any

holistics rememdies that can help? I'm so worried

they wont go away. I'm in the second week of my

second shot. How long do you think it will take to

subside. Thanks so much......

,

You may want to try taking Glucosamine. You can get it at Walmart.

Tylenol makes some and so does BioFlex, but the offbrand works just

as well. It didn't help me with my joint pain, but it has helped alot

of women that I know. I still have joint pain 5 months after Lupron..

Please, if you are concerned about the side-effects, don't continue

taking Lupron. I just found the prescribing information from the FDA

and it said that Lupron is only approved to be used for anemia due to

uterine fibroids. It also said that a number of women have been

treated with iron and had good results without having to go on the

Lupron. If you are taking Lupron because of anemia, talk to your dr

about iron treatments if you haven't already had them. I don't want

you to stay on Lupron and have this joint pain that lasts however

long it will last. Take care hon.

Love and Prayers,

I second the Glucosamine suggestion. A friend of mine was having bad joint

pain from Chemo and another drug she had to take and they told her to take

the Glucosamine. So far, for her, it has helped a great deal.

I also started taking it a year or so ago (due to an old knee injury). It

works great.

> Hi and Samatha,

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm going to my

Primary Dr. today, to see what see thinks about my

joint pain.

I have made an appointment for the embo on April

19th. and having an MRI on the 1st to see exactly

where the fibroids are. The radioligists wanted to

wait alittle while to let the Lupron wear off. I'm in

the second week of my second shot and really can feel

these side effects. This is also something weird, my

body is so sensitive in area's. For example, i have a

very small bracelet on my wrist and it hurts my skin.

I put a small tampon on the other day and that hurt

too.

I'm a hairdresser and my bones in my hands feel week.

So I think I'll take a week or two off after the embo

because I'm on my feet all day in a busy salon.

Thanks for the info.
