Guest guest
We have a the 7.0 version of Appointments Pro. It was upgraded from V6. There is a more current version out there now. We had a lot of problems with 7.0 (pardon the computereze here) because it was a btrieve based application, not SQL. We were using it with 4 clinics and had a huge patient database. The btrieve version couldn't handle that capacity, and we occasionally have had some scary crashes. Another downside- the program has great reporting capabilities, but you have to make sure you mark every single appointment as " arrived, no-show, etc " or else you will not be able to close out a day and run accurate statistics. I don't know if they've changed that in the new version, but it can be a pain to backtrack and find unmarked appointments. There are a lot of good features with Appts Pro- great look and feel, ease of use, real-time scheduling, wait lists, visit counter for insurance purposes- if you have a smaller clinic, it will probably work well for you. We are going to be upgrading to the newest version next year and I hope some of the problems will be solved. DocuPRO and AppointmentPRO Can anyone offer any pros/cons to this software program? Guest guest
We currently use Appts Pro SQL v8.0. This was our first computerized scheduling system and we have found many positives in using it:printing schedules for patients and therapists, a log of missed or cancelled appts., easier tracking of referral sources, counting visits. There are however many cumbersome points to the software. If you are doing multidisciplinary scheduling you must enter a client separately for each discipline. This is very labor intensive for our clinic. The current version does not have a template to allow you to track discharges on a monthly basis, it is a cumulative report! We have had difficulty in obtaining customized templates to meet our clinic needs, response time is very slow to nonexistent. I encourage you to use the demo and try a variety of scheduling scenarios to be sure this system will work for you.
