Hate to tell you, Topper, it is now called the late 40s, hehe!! I'm in my EARLY 50s, so feel fortunate.

Re: Birthday

You mean I'm not alone!?!?! Cool!

I have a question for you.. how do you refer to your age bracket.. do you say 'mid forties' or 'late forties'??

Topper () *who's thinking of claiming mid for at least six more months!*

Considering that I work in a nursing home with people who are well over 90 and one on my wing who is now 104, I feel like a spring chicken myself. People don't know what old is. When I was 16, 30 seemed old. When I was 10, 21 seemed realllllly old. When I was 21, I had gotten smart and determined that I would never get any older, and suddenly I said hey, what's this?!

Re: Birthday

Now that people live to be 100 + , 50 is middle age, so anything before that [and after 21] is a young adult, right? ;-)

works for me- with apologies to all who've passed that peak. I'm trying to get a December party together for one of my best friends, who will be half a century old.
