Would you like some mushrooms stuffed with chicken thyroids, green onions, bread crumbs and fresh basil? And maybe a glass of sherry?

We will know who ate more than their share when we find them bouncing off the ceiling. . ...

Ok, since I found out that liver is probably going to harbor some thyroid hormones, I will TRY to hold my nose and eat some, MAYbe once a week or so. That stuff just tastes nastyy to me!!

I'm there.. start up the stove!!! Hey, can we do some with oatmeal? I've been using that a lot on chicken, turkey burger, liver and fish... I really like it.

I'm not sure if there would be any usable thyroid hormone in cooked liver... but plenty of other nutrients... I picked some up last night.. we're having a liver fry today.. with the oatmeal breading that I've been using... I just love the stuff....

*BIG grin*

I believe that what they were talking about there was the bovine, wasn't it? Anyway, for creatures who have a thyroid, it said that the thyroid hormones are in the liver because that's where they're processed for delivery to the rest of the tissues.
