Guest guest Posted July 29, 2004 Report Share Posted July 29, 2004 TSH is the thyroid stimulating hormone from the pituitary to stimulate your thyroid to make the actual thyroid hormones. This is the one that so many doctors mistakenly use to treat thyroid disorder with the thyroid hormones. You need Free T3 and Free T4, and if you have multinodular goiter, an attempt should be made to shrink them with a TSH suppressive dose of thyroid hormone, but, with so many nodules, they usually remove the thyroid, then go from there.
