Hi Debra, I also had CMF, 9 courses, concurrent with radiation. If

you have any questions just let me know!

Thanks Elaine. I guess I'm just trying to make a final decision on

the course of treatment to take.

My case is boarder line regarding the chemo. Although only .5mm,

since it's a new case of cancer, (three years ago, had my first bout,

right breast...surgery, radiation and tamoxifen), and my nodes and

remaining tissue came back fine on my left breast this time, my

oncologist felt is necessary to explain my options...

In a way I would rather she say...you must do the chemo...no choice

about it...then I would accept what is and do it...but...since It's

an opion and not manatory, I'm quite confused as to whether the

risks, and side effects, both short and long term are worth the extra

effort. On the other hand...since just radiation and hormone therapy

didn't help much to prevent a reoccurence, maybe I should do all that

I can do and this point..and go for the CMF, followed by 6 weeks of

rad and a chance of hormone med.

I'm probably not making much sense here, but my brain just hurts from

all the thinking I've been doing...

any and all advice is requested.....thanks girls, deb
