Guest guest
Dear Friends, It is very important for the various Ngos working on the issue of HIV/AIDS to put their recommendation together at the soonest, i.e. by next week if it has to be considered by the Planning Commission. I would suggest one of you, perhaps, Naz as it is based in Delhi to be the focal organisation to get all the recommendations, collate it and send it to the steering group on health and the working group on the subject. Butterflies and Prayas had organised a All India Child Protection NGOs consultations in 5 regions,6 states and 2 children's consultations to feed into the Eleventh 5 Year Plan. We have shared the report with all concerned ministries and Planning Commission members. We are organising a press conference on Saturday (5th Aug.) at press club to share our recommendations with the press. In all our consultations, we unfortunately did not get substantial recommendations on HIV/AIDS issue excepting for generic suggestions. We had asked the Ngos working on this subject who had participated to get back to us with clearly articulated recommendations and proposals. Un fortunately we did not get them and since time was running out we could not pursue it further. However, it is important to share your concerns and recommendations with the Planning Commission. If there is no time to go through the exercise of collating. you could still send in your individual recommendations to the PC members. Guest guest
Dear friends, I endorse Rita Panicker's idea, that " It is very important for the various Ngos working on the issue of HIV/AIDS to put their recommendation together at the soonest " But it would be great if a Working Group take it up and involve the NGOs/CBOs working in the field around the country?
