Guest guest
Dear All, It is really very unfortunate that different people start commenting on the validity of the statistical data without understanding the difference between a " HIV case " and an " AIDS case " . The prevalence is provisionally estimated on the basis of annual sentinel surveillance activity and reporting of AIDS cases and data from the VCTCs is used only for the estimate models developed separately. We should not fall into the trap of a 'war of numbers' and must devote our time and energy in generating a concerted and strongest possible response to this developmental challenge as the containment of HIV/AIDS is everyone's responsibilty and we all can and must contribute for the same. Best wishes, Dr.Rajesh Gopal. Joint Director, Gujarat SACS. e-mail: <dr_rajeshg@...>
