Guest guest
> I have worked in two large hospitals. In the first, in Arizona, Techs were used to complete treatment sessions that were billed for. In Illinios we use them primarily as a second set of hands and for transport. Due to our current staffing shortages we are exploring the idea of having them do a bit more. In both settings they fell under department of rehab. > > > Redge L MS OTR/L > Director of Rehabilitation Services > on Hospital > Bremerton, WA 98310 > > > Administrative Assistant: > Wanda Kotte: wandakotte@h... > > > >>> GIeni@m... 3/4/2005 10:16:16 AM >>> > > > I am interested in having some Acute Care staffing to volume > comparisons. > > Will appreciate anyone who is willing to share..... > > Average daily census: 185 > > Average daily FTEs: > > PTs: 5 (Average PT census: 60) > > PTAs: 0 > > OTs: 2 (Average OT census: 30) > > COTAs: 1 > > Speech: 1 (Average SLP census: 14) > > Audiologist: 0 > > Aides: 3 > > If you use aides, how are they used? Guest guest
I am interested in having some Acute Care staffing to volume comparisons. Will appreciate anyone who is willing to share..... Average daily census: 285 Average daily FTEs: PTs: 5.5 (PT census 50-70) PTAs: 1.0 OTs: 2.0 (OT census 18-25) COTAs: 0 Speech: 1 (ST census 10-15) Audiologist: 0 Aides: 3 If you use aides, how are they used? Are aides a part of rehab or nursing? They are rehab aides, essentially do " set up and clean up " , and provide extra set of hands for lines, tanks, IV's etc. Thank you, Gene Ieni Mount Carmel Columbus, Ohio gieni@...
