Guest guest
What time of day do you take the tamoxifen. My Dr told me to swith times. I was taking before bed, then switched to when I get up in the morning. It helped. Seems silly I know but what ever works. It doesnt take them away but it will reduce them. Also if you read labels you will find that a lot of foods have some kind of soy in them. Good Luck. I finally finished my 5 years and I am not having any more surges.lol Jeana
Guest guest
I cannot take Tamoxifen but I know a lot of ladies ate popsicles and they seemed to help. Also some of the ladies are on an antidepressant to help with the hot flashes. I can't remember the name but I am sure they will post it for you. You are in my prayers. Guest guest
I am also on tamoxifen (I take it in the morning) and my hot flashes seemed to be getting worse and worse also, so I hope this info is helpful to you. I told my doctor I felt like I couldn't get a good night's sleep because of them (they were at their worse at night it seemed, in spite of taking the tamox in the a.m.). She put me on gabapentin (neurontin is the trade name I believe) and it has helped tremendously. I'm having to take 3 pills a day (morning, mid-day, and night) but started out slowly. My doctor directed me to take one for a week, then add the second one at noon for second week, then the third at night for the third week). You might mention it to your oncologist and perhaps he/she can help you. Wishing you well and hope you find something to help. --- " adams5022001 " <adams5022001@y...> wrote: > Help, these Tamoxifen hotflashes are awlful.
