I would like to inquire if anyone has heard of a modality called Hivamat

200. This modality was introduced to us today made by PhysioMed.

This is a modality, as I was told, that started in Germany and is now

being introduced in the United States. I was told it was FDA approved.

The basic principle is deep oscillation characterized by an intermittent

electrostatic field, which is built up between the hands of the

therapist or the hand applicator and the tissue of the patient by the

means of the Hivamat 200. The patient's tissue is electrostatically

attracted and released and this will trigger a unique, deeply

penetrating and lasting resonance vibration of the treated tissue.

Applications for use are multiple, to many to list. I asked the

representative for specific outcome studies however there are none at

this point. He indicated there would be some published in February

2005.

Any information on this modality would be greatly appreciated. .

Thank you.
