Guest guest
Could someone tell me the 'rules' for being chapter queen ??? I know about the Division 9 -- and surgery things. We have someone who lost and became a KOPS. Is she automatically the queen ? What do the rules say ? I know some years we did not have a queen ---- thanks for your help !!!! We have conflicting opinions !!! Hugs -- Randie
Guest guest
Janet, I got an OFFICIAL answer on your situation with the man who was once State King - and says his goal is to be State King again - - Shirley Wooten says that if anyone drops out of TOPS for more than a year (that is also a new rule - it used to be 5 years), when they rejoin, they are considered a NEW MEMBER and can be Chapter/State/National royalty again!! So if your member dropped out for more than a year, he is absolutely correct in saying that he can be State King again - - IF HE LOSES THE MOST WEIGHT TO BECOME KOPS!! There is always the chance that someone else will lose more weight, in which case, he wouldn't be State King even if he reached his KOPS status. That is something nobody ever knows until Headquarters processes year end weight sheets. And that's why it is SO IMPORTANT for accurate records to be kept - - - just a quarter of a pound can make a difference in who is crowned STATE QUEEN or STATE KING, as well as who is first in all of the divisions!!
