Protonics- Neuromuscular Repositioning System

Greetings and Merry Christmas

I attended an in-service presented by the owner of the Protonincs

repositioning device. I hesitate to call it a brace because he was

adamant that bracing is a feedback mechanism and this device is a

feed-forward mechanism. Without getting in too much detail, the device

looks similar to a rigid ACL brace but is actually a strengthening device

which knee, hip, back patients can wear to retrain (reposition) their

lower extremity alignment thus taking away their pain. It places the

hamstrings under concentric resistance and clients are able to wear it

during a specific exercise routine or when walking etc. It was presented

as being able to assist in the treatment of many different patients and

the demonstration was impressive. Has anyone on the list serve heard or

tried this product and if they have, what were your results? I also

wonder if it is as easy to get insurance carriers to pay for this device

as they presented?

Thanks for any input...
