Guest guest Posted December 30, 2004 Report Share Posted December 30, 2004 Hi Group, The two new codes are 97605 - < 50 sq. cm area and 97606 - > 50 sq cm area. At present Medicare has determined there is no " physician " work associated with this dressing change and they have not placed a fee on the codes. But both codes did go through the AMA RUC process. Today APTA sent a formal letter of appeal to CMS regarding the value of these codes. The deadline for comment is January 3rd. We expect to hear a response after that.
