Guest guest
Looking for information on billing OT and PT Therapeutic Activity and Exercise codes on the same day for the same patient. The services are delivered at different times(no co-treating or overlap) and we are using the modifiers 430, 420. Some of our insurance providers are denying the billings stating they are " duplicate services " . Has anyone handled this before? Looking for advice. Thank you, Aimee M. Guest guest
Aimee, 430 and 420 are your revenue codes...they indicate if PT or OT are performing the service. We use modifier 59 to indicate that these are separate and distinct procedural services and this has taken care of it.
