Guest guest
, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving with your sister and family. It's going to be a pretty quiet Thanksgiving for us. We had our Thanksgiving this past Saturday and it was a good day. All 19 were here including our youngest little member (7 mo.). I wanted to love on her so bad but I had a sore throat, hoarseness etc....so tried to stay away. Carroll is sick now. He went to the doctor yesterday and got a prescription for some antibiotics so hopefully he'll get over it soon too. HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone. I hope you find lots of joy today with your family and friends. I miss my kids and grandkids today as they are with their other grandparents today. My son-in-law's mother passed away night before last, and so my daughter & son-in-law are going to be busy planning the services tomorrow. They'll be with his Dad today. I have so much for which to be thankful, but I am always a little sad whenever we are alone. This afternoon after we have lunch at Cracker Barrell, I'm either going to wrap some Christmas presents or start decorating. That always puts me in a happy mood. Love to all Barbara
Guest guest
Melody, as said....you brought a smile to my face. Now I'm passing the happy pills to you. Go call someone who might be by themselves today, or may just need to hear a friendly voice.......than start counting all those blessings we take for granted sometime. Those 3 pounds always seem to find me too. I think they're like sticky glue or something. I guess we could go get some exercise by walking around the block, or going to the mall and walking up and down some stairs (while looking at all the pretty things). We could do something silly like doing the chicken dance........we could even get up from this chair and try to do the same dances that are being shown in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. LOL Have a great day! Barbara
Guest guest
Melody, I'm sorry you are having such a bad week! But after you flush your head, pull it out and think of all the things you have to be thankful for today!!! Sit down an make a list - things you have to be thankful for on one side and things you hate on the other side!! I'd be willing to bet that your "thankful" side will out weigh the hate side!!! Love ya, Clara

Guest guest
OK, Melody - - now I'm ready to put something on the "HATE LIST"!! I just got back from my morning walk, and I can add "I HATE EXERCISE"!!!!!!!!!! I am the ONLY person I know who hated PE when I was a kid in school! I NEVER liked exercise, playing baseball, volley ball or any other kind of ball - and I didn't like running, tumbling, trampoline jumping or anything else the even closely resembled exercise!! I took extra home economics classes because it could substitute for PE!! B UUUUUUUU T - - - I do my walking six days a week - whether I like it or not! It's just one of those things that I know I have to do, so it is as much a part of my daily routine as eating breakfast and brushing my teeth. BUT I DON'T HAVE TO LIKE IT!! I JUST HAVE TO DO IT! And because I do it, I can put "I LOVE BEING KOPS" on the other side of my list!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Clara
Guest guest
Thanks Clara.....just venting I guess ....and more than a little frustrated with myself today, frustrated over fighting the holiday crowds just trying to get normal every day things done and depressed because my stepmom went to california and won't return until after Christmas and my dad decided that hunting was more important than coming over for Thanksgiving dinner...... BUT, you're right......it's all in how I look at it isn't it?? I still have my hubby and my son and for that I am grateful.....and I KNOW the dogs are going to be VERY happy with all the left overs LOL I'm heading for the treadmill, the exercise will help me put things in perspective I always feel better after exercising have a very happy, healthy Thanksgiving!! Guest guest
LOL ! If I can make you giggle then my day is complete What's a few extra pounds between friends? I'll just try to beat 'em off for the next weigh in! Can't find the happy pills, but the treadmill did me a world of good!! Especially when it was messing up the TV haha! hubby and son are playing football on the PS2 I could barely hear their screams over my MP3 player (which by the way I am VERY thankful for cuz it still works after getting drenched...I'm talking water standing in the face of it!) Anyway.....I was out fighting those darn crowds yesterday - just trying to pay bills and get some groceries to feed hubby with while he's home all week....what a ZOO!! So there I was walking out of HEB and I started singing "I fought the crowds......and the crowds won" and wiggling my butt all the way to the END of the parking lot where I had to park.......yep! I've lost my mind! (I wonder what all the other people thought? ROFL) I decided to cancel Thanksgiving dinner today - I'm making lasagna instead LOL I figure since my dad seems to think that hunting is more important than coming for dinner - I'll fix him when I call tomorrow and put the guilties on him by telling him that we decided to wait "just for him" haha! alrighty then......I'm feeling much better - amazing what a little bit of exercise and "male torturing" can do for a woman (heh heh sorry ) Melody Moris, Leader TOPS #Tx1454, Pleasanton http://www.texastops.org email: topsmama@... -----Original Message-----From: mwdw@... Whenever I read them I end up laughing even though I'm sure YOU don't see the humor especially since you gained this week. Just wanted you to know you made my morning start out with a laugh and I love you for it. Oh, by the way, if you find those happy pills can you please send me a bottle or maybe two........................... I can use them. With everything that's going on I tried to talk my sister out of doing the Thanksgiving "thing" since neither of us are "into " it this year but she decided to go ahead with it. Maybe it will do us both some good. Anyways just wanted you to know I am thankful for friends who can make me laugh when all I want to do is cry. Guest guest
awww Pepper! you're just too sweet! It was great for me too I just wish SRD was a week long instead of just a couple of days It's just not enough time to "play" with everyone. Seems like I hit the ground running on Thursday night and I don't stop until Sunday on the drive home..... Can you believe that SOME people actually think they are supposed to SLEEP at SRD?? (Donna!)
