Guest guest
I've had migraines almost my entire life...no meds have really helped, ever, at least not for very long... For some reason, the color red helps soothe headaches...Wet a RED washcloth with warm, to cold water, and use it as a compress on your eyes and forehead, and also on the back of your neck. Caffeine can either be a trigger or a relief for headaches, so try some espresso or Mountain Dew...or Jolt! For a while there, I could ward off a migraine by having a glass of wine. They're caused by the blood vessels in your brain constricting, and the alcohol thins the blood, making it less painful. Unfortunately, doesn't work for me anymore Also, red wine, prepared meats, anything with MSG, other preservatives, tannins or sulfites, can trigger a headache. I kept a diary for over a year, marking my activities, meals, snacks, and anything that could have pertained to my headaches. Good luck, headaches are no fun!
