Guest guest Posted October 22, 2004 Report Share Posted October 22, 2004 I laugh about Zoey being my " secret " but in reality she had done alot for me. I suffer from sever back problems and pain. Some days I can hardly move. Most days I don't want to move. After a really busy day, it takes me a couple to recoup, like from Sat. I used to keep her only on the weekends but since July she has basically lived with me and visits her dad sometimes. Her mom is in New York. It's a long story. My shoulder and elbows were very sore and sensitive to weight. But I noticed just the other day that there is no pain anymore. My back still and always will be a problem but the joint pain I was feeling is gone, (for now anyway.) I can walk some, even pool stuff is difficult (we have a pool) but with her I can't sit for long, I have to get up and around. I get out more, she even attends my meetings and helps with weight recording! lol I HAVE to move. I think that has been the biggest factor " this time around. " She has taken me out of my usual routine/rut and I have had to use muscles and skills I forgot I had! She depends on me to feed her right and I have to be a model for her. I guess what I'm saying is, you have to get up and do it. (DUH to me!) She is such a super baby and will be 19 months tomorrow. I know I am prattling on and I thank you for being here and letting me. I will be happy to " listen " if any of you need to talk. I don't know how you came to have her, but sounds like she might be an answer to prayer if she has you "up and around" - - - when we pray for help, we never know how our prayers will be answered! And it works two-fold, I think you just might be God's answer for Zoey! Keep on keeping on - - - and you'll be in all our prayers.
