Guest guest
So, what kind of T3 are we talking about? Are there better brands than others? Cytomel? Is there anything in particular I need to ask for when I bring this to the attention of my medical 'staff' - doctors? As I have antoibodies to adrenals, am I more likely to have them put me on some form of HC? OR will I still have to beg? I have been taking Isocort... but suspect 8 tabs is not enough. So, if I get a script for both HC and T3, I should hold off on the T3 and start the HC first.. for how long? and what kind of horrid experience should I expect? ;o)~ (I can read in files.. will check) Is this basically a protocol or 'regular' medicine? I have no clue here... and am wondering if I even know the right questions to ask... About Aldosterone... I need to have that checked.. The doctor has me taking Spironolactone (?)(which I stopped taking yesterday when I read about it).. which is antagonistic to Aldosterone, so I hear and have read.. thank you Diane.. So , could I maybe finally start to feel better. I'm not bedridden, but I sure do miss motivation... Thanks for all of your assistance, past and present.. and I am sure... future. Never Give Up! > Adrenal antibodies means you have 's Disease. You need to get onHC before fixing the thyroid issues. But your thyroi dissues are serious, you have horridly high Rt3. more Armoru wil make this worse! You need T3 only to clear ou t the excess T4 and RT3 in your system. But Iwould certainyl be getting mroe indepth cortils and aldosterone labs to see the extent of that and get it balanced before trying to fix the thyroid issues. That si why you cannot retain minerals. Your aldosteorne is proabbyl in the dirt.Though it is odd for someone with s to > have low potassium. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ >
Guest guest
Cytomel is peescription so woudl be best. It si regulated an thus consistent and assured of potency. the OTHER brandw I talk about are from other countries when we had to buy wiht no script. It si NOT Wlson;s protocol we recommend here. It is a gradula rampin to full replacement doses, nit higher. and there is no rmping down unless replacing ti with armour once RT3 is cleared if you choose to do so. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
I m writng here since this where most of my recent questions have been. Included the orginally posted babs and Ms Val's comments.. In light of that... and following doctor's recommendations... Doc upped my thyroid dose from 270mg to 330mg. The 270 wasn't getting things chipper. I juat found out I have the RT3 issue. I am feeling.. lightheaded, kinda spacy at times, jittery, my pulse is ~100bpm, BP is not so bad 119/72. I have a headache and inner ear pressure (getting over sinus infection). I just helped fold a sheet, and my arms feel sore... thinking is limited.. and I fell punchy (duh!)(who wouldn't feeling like this,eh?) I am thinkin hyper.. and called the doc. THe nurse agreed and said to back off to original 270mg (which given that RT3 could make things worse (see below) I am inclined to do nayhow... Do3s the RT3 make weirdness happen? Or is some of it fianlly getting over the resistance fence and this just feels yucky? or is it hyper? Any input? I just want to make sure I am not missing something. Thanks loads for all of your supoport. Guest guest
Theworst thing is BOTH hyper and highRT3 will RUIN adnreal status quo and cause tons of adrenal stress. So yeah backing up QUICK is the best answer,. But I do nto knwo if thta will be enough to rid yourself o f the Rt3 issues once they are there , they tend ot stick till we clear them out with T3 only. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thank you Ms Val, I just want to say that I am deeply sorry that you know so much about this stuff. I mean that in the nicest way possible. ;o)~ I'm sorry I have to know this much.. and still need to learn more... I just want to make ure I am not m,issing something. I have an appointment next Tuesday to talk with the doc. I've had to speak with his nurses twice so far this week, so he will know I have called and am ahving issues. He is only in town 2 days per week. I am hioping he will put me on T3 next week, if he does not do so this week wehen he gets to review my records... The adrenal stuiff I was concerned about. I want to make sure I am not missing something there, thinking this is all due to too much more thyroid too quickly.. not to mention the RT3 stuff.. and I failed to mention that I am getting nauseous/hypoglycemic feelling more frequently and nastier. Like right now.. goota go . I am not exactly sure what RT3 issues feel like. So far, I just havne'tfelt like I am getting where I want to go. Guest guest
The Reverse T3 explains lots for me. All through this hypo stuff I would start/increase meds, notice improvement, then hit a wall and drop back to maybe just a little above where I started from. I wondered if my body wasn't resistant to the stuff. I have wondered if I don't have antibodies to the hormones, themselves. I just hope this new doctor will give me the T3... Is THAA testing available? I also know that when I stop taking Armour for a few days, I seem to feel better than when I am taking it, for a few days, anyhow. I have been tempted to do a three day holiday every month or so... On Synthroid (50mcg) I found that if I took it every other day, I felt good that every other day. If I took it everyday, I only felt good for a few days a month, max. I just got a call from the endo's office.. concerned I am overmedicatied and wants me to drop to 90mg per day. He wants to get my TSH between 1-2. Didn't mention RT3 or Adrenal Antibodies. Of course, he thinks the RT3 is indication that I am taking too much.. He thinks it is the result as opposed to being part of the problem... Would dropping my dose hurt? He did put in a prescription for Vit D, though.. mega dose 10,000iu to be taken once a week.. to get my numbers up quickly.. I want to look into that... > Thanks for letting me ramble. I do so hope this is one of those 'missing piece of the puzzle' things... j
