I was reading a little magazine (Our Daily Bread) this morning and came across this little story about "Attitude". It is so true - - thought I would share it to emphasize how important it is for us to keep a POSITIVE Attitude - -

"Four-year-old Angelo wakes up and discovers that his new beagle puppy has chewed up his plastic guitar. The little fellow has a fit of grief. Mom's nerves tighten. She snaps at husband Tony as he leaves for the office.

Still feeling the unhappy send-off, Tony greets his secretary with some cold and unreasonable instructions. She picks up the mood, and at coffee-break tells off a fellow secretary. At closing time the second secretary tells her boss she's ready to quit.

An hour-and-a-half later, after fighting heavy traffic, the boss walks into his house and blurts out an angry word to little , who had left his bike in the driveway. runs to his room, slams the door, and kicks his ish terrior.

Where does it all end? Each person may think he or she had reason to be upset. But what was needed in this imaginary siutation was ONE PERSON with a Positive Attitude who would absorb unjust treatment without lashing out!

Wishing all of you a POSITIVE Attitude,

Clara

Oooh, this is a good one, Clara. I'm saving it in my "keeper" file. My daughter and I just had this conversation yesterday... about how something that someone does or says can have a far-reaching affect.

My poor kids and hubby are forever being subjected to my "positive attitude" lectures/discussions. LOL! Be glad that you all have the option to hit 'delete' when I'm rambling. They aren't that fortunate. My hubby and I have this thing that we always say when we talk on the phone... when I ask him how he is, he says "the glass is half-full". This is after years of me telling him not to look at things with a negative attitude. He was always looking at things like 'the glass was half-empty'. And he knows that if he asks me how things are going, I'll tell him that the glass is overflowing! Life is good, and we have so much to be grateful for. And I honestly believe that a positive attitude is contagious. If you type in my daughter's name and the words 'positive attitude' ( Feeser positive attitude) on the Google search engine, the first link is to our local newspaper and a quote made by her volleyball coach about her. This is what the article says:

Feeser had four service aces to lead the Lady Badger attack. A block by Underwood and Patrice aided in the run, as well. " served great. She is not only a good player and server, but she is a great kid," said. "She has the best attitude and wants to win. I love her positive attitude." Yup, I'm one proud momma. Thanks for listening to me brag. Funny thing is, was mentioned in the paper many times during volleyball season for her playing skills, but she and I were both most proud of her being mentioned for her attitude. Those volleyball skills will get her through one more year of high school volleyball... the positive attitude will help her get through the rest of her life!

(((hugs)))

Your daughter sounds like a GREAT KID!! No wonder you are proud of her! And you are so right about her "positive attitude" getting her through the rest of her life. It is SOOOOOOOOO important to have a positive attitude - - and I too have one of those "the glass is half-empty" husbands. He is much better than he used to be, but his glass is still not overflowing! It really is, he just doesn't recognize it!

((((HUGS))))
