Guest guest
Hello , I had UAE Sept. 27. My fibroid was 8x12x14cm. prior to UAE, I just had a four month follow up MRI and the fibroid is now 8x9x10. My abdomen looks flatter, but not as flat as before the fibroid, however it's a definite improvement over the more 'pregnant' look I had before. My main symptom was regular yet heavy periods. My periods are still heavy, although they seem maybe a little bit better. I no longer have to get up to urinate during the night. My radiologist and the gyn. both agree that I should wait for at least 3 more months and see if the bleeding improves . They said that for some women it takes longer for the bleeding to subside, also they said the fibroid could keep shrinking as well. So, I'm hoping to see more improvement. I know there have been women on this board who have gotten better, faster results from their bleeding with a big fibroid. The bigger the fibroid, the less shrinkage you can count on, but there have been women who had ones as big as yours who got amazing shrinkage. > Has any one had a sucessful UAE on a fibroid the size 15cm?? > > Thanks >
