Guest guest
There were some posts about this a while ago. I just spoke with the radiologist that did my ultrasound of last March to ask her to explain her comment that some of the fibroid was calcified. She said that there can be areas of calcification and areas of growth on the same fibroid. The calcified areas are old and beginning to shrink, even though there are calcium deposits in them. The areas of growth can still grow in response to estrogen. If a fibroid is calcified at menopause, it can still shrink. (That's how I understood her comments.)
