Yes, your pre-op instructions are typical. The doctor does not want

any substance you put in your body to interact with the medications you

will be getting in the hospital. Because they are not regulated by the

FDA (or anyone else), many herbal mixtures are as harmful, or even more

harmful than prescription drugs when mixed with other meds.

And yes, any obgyn can do a myomectomy. The issues are whether they

are experienced with myos, and do they like to do them, and are they

good at it. One of the gyns I consulted with before I decided to have

pimples after you get the first one out " , is exactly what he said. Had

I opted for myo, I probably would have had him for my surgeon.
