Guest guest
Dear Crew, I know that a lot of us are going to want to send cards to Jordan's parents. She was a real sweetheart and will be missed by those of us who knew her whether through email or in person. She was a real fighter and now she can finally rest. I just spoke to Annette and wanted to share some of the conversation with you. First, be encouraged that Annette seems to be doing ok. She said that Jordan was in a lot of pain. Many of us knew that but I don't think most of us were aware how bad it had gotten. Jordan went to sleep happy and simply stopped breathing. It is believed that she did not have any pain at the end and probably didn't wake up but just slipped away in her sleep. Jordan chose to be cremated, so there will not be a funeral, but there will be a memorial service. They ask for no flowers and will offer suggestions of where donations in Jordan's honor can be made. Annette stressed several times that Jordan would have said small donations, please, because she knows people who are dealing with NF2 have so many expenses with their care. The tentative date for Jordan's Memorial Service is 10/15 at St. 's Presbyterian Church in Lake , LA. Annette will email the final information and I'll post it to you as soon as it is available. In the meantime, though we don't usually post addresses, this seems to be an appropriate exception. If you would like to send a card to Jordan's parents, their address is: Ben and Annette Harlow 1206 Springwood Lane Lake , LA 70605 Jordan's mother used Jordan's email address and I'm sure she will check it for several days. It is: JDMcVootie@... My thoughts and prayers are with the Harlows as I know yours are. Jordan will be deeply missed. May God bless and comfort you and indeed all of us as we say goodbye to one more friend. ...Donna
