I wonder, if you were small to start with, do you think people will really notice? I guess since I'm quite heavy, I almost always wear "loose" shirts, so I'm sure no one even notices my boobs anyways----kind of flow with the fabric!!!!

But about 2 years back, I started noticing mine "sagging" a bit (and no, I am not big chested, 38B), so I started wearing the underwires, as well as with a slight padding on them, so you couldn't see when I got "cold"!). And wow, I really like those.

But now, after having surgery (just a lumpectomy), I come back to work, and at first I thought all the guys would be looking at me/my chest to see if I looked the same! But with my bra, there isn't any difference. Even without it, I just have a ripple I guess you could call it! So I worried for nothing!!!! (although I guess I'd worry if I weren't married and had to expose myself to a new lover!)

BTW, I work in Engineering, so out of 80 or so people, there are only 7 women, and the rest are men. They are almost all very gentlemanly, most are married, kids, grandkids, etc., so no, I don't feel uncomfortable. I haven't seen any "visible" looking by them, but once in a while I "wonder", probably from my own paranoia, was he checking my chest out to see how it looks now???

So, I am around men all day long, and even though I am wearing a bra, I really don't think they are looking anyways. Although I do understand, if I couldn't wear a bra, I guess I would be worried also, but for no reason.

Heck, I'm worried now when the radiologist told me I can't use deoderant on one side for the next 7 weeks!!!---I'm worried I stink something awful, but no one has the heart to tell me that!!!!

So for you, with or without bra/prosthesis, I bet they aren't looking at your chest either. I think it's our own paranoia.

Look at it this way, if you worked with a guy who was diagnosed & treated for prostrate cancer, when he came back to work, would you be checking him out? I seriously doubt it, so I doubt people you work with or see are checking you out either!

And if someone you don't know does look and snicker, who cares!!! You know you are a bigger and better person because of all you've been through. This crass and rude person who may comment is a small-time person who doesn't have a clue what "real life" is all about.

Go out and be YOURSELF, who you are inside!!!! That's what counts!!!

Hi there you never wear the bras and prosthesis? I can't wait till I can wear a bra etc as I'm paranoid that someone will notice that I have a flat side... I called the Australian Breast cancer society and they are sending me something to put in my bra , they also put me in touch with the free wig loan service.I'm thinking ahead,I feel like my mind is ready to go back to work but my body isn't. I had a build up of fluid and had to get it drained today. Can't wait till the fluid stops building up. > > Hi there,> > I bolted when I read some posts from the lady with stage iv as > it > > scared me but I have been reading your digests again and everyone > is > > giving me inspiration. > > Congratulations nne .....You give me
