They say that your hair comes back thicker,curlier etc. Is that

right?

Mine came back curly not necessarily thicker but lots darker too. After about a year it pretty much returned to its old self. Except I don't have the red highlites that it used to have, those highlights that I hated so much as a teenager, LOL. Oh well, any hair is better than no hair after you have been bald for a while.

You will make it though. I suggest a synthetic wig because they are easier to care for and a bunch cheaper, if you get a wig. Have you check with your insurance, they may pay for it, don't know the rules is Australia.

Hi ,

I had my first chemo on June 1 and my hair began to fall out on the 14th. I

had my 2nd chemo yesterday and after it was over went to the hairstylist and

had my head shaved. My head had begun to get sore and it isn't now that it

is shaved. Having my head shaved was not as traumatic as I thought.

Actually my stylist and I had a bit of fun with it. We " punked " it up and

did the Mohawk thing, etc. and took pictures. We couldn't quit laughing. I

figured I might as well make the best out if.

I will keep you in my prayers and wish the best for you.

i had natural curly hair and when miune came back came back straight never had straight hair in my life i never knew how to use a curling iron never needed it i always said boy if i could have straight hair now i say i want my curls back but i keep my hair short were i at least still have my waves

when i had my cancer a lady that wa sgoing through chemo at same time she had straight her came back curly and totally different texture to and mine came back straight and not a sthick a si alwys had and i still see her on check ups she said looks like our hair still the same your straight mine curly now

when i had my cancer a lady that wa sgoing through chemo at same time she had straight her came back curly and totally different texture to and mine came back straight and not a sthick a si alwys had and i still see her on check ups she said looks like our hair still the same your straight mine curly now
