Guest guest
Hi Joy-My name is Ronnie (a female) and I was misdiagnosed, just like you were. I was sent home also thinking I had very little time left. Because of this I retired from teaching-34 years, was in the process of signing up for a placebo study and possible lung transplant. I had all the exams done in cluding a broncoscopy and open lung biopsy, heart cath. etc. for the transplant then when I finally, after 6 months, got to see the doctor in Seattle, it was discovered that my Montana doctor had failed to send the 3rd biopsy to the Mayo clinic for diagnosis. A month later it was finally sent in and returned with a " hypersensitivity pneumonitis " diagnosis. I didn't know whther to scream or shout for joy. I was angry with the doctors because of what I and my family had gone through but now that time has passed I decided I am in charge of my life and must make it the best I can from now on-I always lived my life for others and now am living it for myself. Sounds selfish but I feel that I've been given a 2nd chance. My disease was caused by mold however we can't find the source. I think it was carpet in my school but the carpet has sense been removed so I have no proof. Anyway this all happend in 2004 and my husband and I have moved from Montana to Wenatchee, Wa. At this lower elevation I can go without oxygen during the day, have great doctors and am closer to my doctors in Seattle. I am taking medicenes, prednisone 5 mg. and others which I think helps with my congestion. Anyway if you have any questions or care to write my email address is runningred3@.... Sincerely, Ronnie Tuss ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Guest guest
We had mold in the duct work of our home in Tampa. I was sich for years not knowing why. changed it out the next day after finding it. I began to feel better right away. we moved and went in to meet our new Dr. and one thing led to another and I have IPF. We are not sure about the mold being the cause but I refused a OLB because the treatment is the same and it is much much to dangerious.. Anyhow God Bless you both in your fight with this monster.
