Chris--don't be too suprised if your insurance company denies you

payment on the Mederma even though your doctor billed them for it.

Since it's now offered OTC--like you said--most insurance companies

won't cover it.

It does work and was an rx item up to a few years ago but now most

" good " pharmacies carry it. I've even found it at the grocery store

in the skin care section.

Yeah, they warned me at the office that I may have to pay for it -

but they'd bill the insurance and see what happens first. I was

prepared to pay for it at the time, since he had told me it was OTC.

But the woman that files the claims said sometimes Blue Cross will

pay for it. I suppose it depends on whether or not you get an

attentive processor. Anyway, we'll see.
