Guest guest
Yep, you are so right, it was our own sweet and beautiful Angel. Congratulations on 14 years! Wow, what an inspiration to newbies. I know Doris and I are fairly close in distance. In fact, back in the late 70's I worked at a mall in Monroe while training to manage a store here! Blessings Pam > Hi Pam and welcome. Guest guest
Barnhills is right around the corner from me! I like it better than s. I hope you sil is doing OK. My main problems now are those due to chemo and chemopause at age 37. Osteoporisis, night sweats, joint problems. I have figured out how to take care of most of them, except the newest one, LOL. Still working on dealing with chronic tendonitis due to muscle atrophy-due to no reason. Maybe I'll get some good hints here. Prayers to your sis-in-law. Guest guest
Hi Pam, You have to mean Shreveport, Louisiana! I don't think there is another S'port in the country. I am in West Monroe but have been to S'port a lot lately. I had surgery there (gamma knife) at the LSU Med. Center on May 11 and last week was there taking my dtr-in-law to the doctor. We will be going back for her next visit on July 30. I hate it that there is another bc in Louisiana but very happy to find someone who lives so nearby. Doris > Hi all, I'm Pam from Shreveport. Guest guest
Hi Doris, Yep, meant S'port La, LOL. I have a part-time job at LSUHSC. I work with the medical students and residents helping to teach them. It is basically an acting job. Called a standardized patient. We learn cases then they take our history, do non-invasive exams, and try to dx us. I also score the exams and help to teach the cases to other standardized patients. Been doing this for over 3 years now, I love it and hope to be able to keep doing it while going to school next semester. I guess you are going to Fiest Weiller for your gamma knife? Can't wait until they get into their new building. The program I work with is getting their old space in the hospital! We have been using the sleep lab until now and it is a hassle for them and for us. thanks for the welcome! Hugs Pam > > Hi all, I'm Pam from Shreveport.
