Guest guest
Yes to 2 docs to make sure this is not TMJ, and they concure it is TN, seems I will have a new treatment with radio waves to try and stop the nerve from firing and if not good enough drill a small hole benind my frickin ear and lazar the nerve so I will be a dam freak..Wont be able to sing am pretty sure I don't really have a lot of info at the time. DOc has me on Demerol to try and keep pain at a managable level. And I can tell you throwing up for days and TN do not go well hand in hand. But on the good side I have lost almost 15 pounds. Hard to eat and hunger pains gone gotta be careful about electrolites and dehydration. Seeing my doctor nearly every week they don't take this problem ligthly. Wish they would give the FM victems half the concern they give me now. Can't believe the commpassion they are showing. Guest guest
Few men are diagnosed with Fibro but I am one of the minority. Have suspected it for some time but my doctor is now pretty sure that I have it. I am luck to have a good medical plan and honestly feel for those of you that do not. It must be a terrible burden to have to decide where the money goes . I am 65 years old and retired 10 years. When mine flares up the joints in my shoulders, hips, inside knees and almost all of my muscles ache terribly.Feels like I have been in in a train wreck. I am presently on amitriptyline 10mg and flexerol. Have Tylenol 30s and use them when I need them. Had the 3rd visit with my new Rheumy today and she is doing some bloodwork just to be sure of her diagnosis. Then to a pain specialist. Something that some of you might find helpful. Before this I could not get my doctors to accept how bad the pain was. " Take Tylenol " . So I have been buying Tylenol with 8 grains of codeine for about $8/200 pills. Three of them normally has kept me going. Are you all aware that this med is an over the counter drug in Canada and you can buy it over the internet? I live close to Canada so can drive across and get it when I visit my brother. tom At 08:08 PM 4/12/2005 +0000, you wrote: >Thanks Deb, I certainly appreciate the support. Guest guest
Tom, I am glad you emailed me, I had forgotten about the Tylenol with codeine, but doesn't it contain a large amount of caffeine also? I have a problem with caffeine. Hubby is in Toronto at the moment so I will talk to him about bringing some back. Let us know how things turn out. Thanks and best wishes for a pain free future. Guest guest
Does Tylenol with codeine have Caffeine???? I get that from the docs some times, And I am sensitive as all get out to caffeine, But I have not had a problem with it thus far... And I know I cannot take Excedrin because of the caffeine in it. BTW thanks for the tip about Canada! Tom, I am glad you emailed me, I had forgotten about the Tylenol with codeine, but doesn't it contain a large amount of caffeine also?
