Hello All

Recently I was diagnosed with RA.  I went to the Rheummy and he took

more blood than a vampire(lol)and xrays of my hands and feet.  When

the test results came back they were all normal.  He said that is

common in about 25% of the people with RA.  Before the rheummy put me

on Plaquenil he wanted me to go on a 3 weeks of Docycycline to make

sure it is not Lyme's disease.  He also put me on Prednisone.  This

has really made a difference in the inflamation.

If I do get put on Plaquenil should I be aware of any nasty side

effects?  Has anyone else taken this medication?  Did it work?

Warm and light hugs to all.

Welcome

I am newly diagnosed too - 12 months ago now. I am on Plaquenil and

haven't had any side-effects at all. Good luck with everything.
