Guest guest
I am glad that the court house visit was a success.. Pity you hadn't taken your camera along! Also to hear that he stayed home successfully.. That's a big step in the right direction. He obviously takes your mind off your own troubles so he is very therapeutic:) Penny UK On 09/04/2005 16:49:53, fibromyalgia_support_group wrote:> Aloha all,> > > > Yesterday was a VERY full day --- First thing in the morning i had to go> to the court house to correct some documents i filed a few days ago, and> chickie had to come along (ofcourse)

Guest guest
I agree Wayney, its really nice to have OT letters that make us smile. Its fine for people to vent and we sympathise absolutely, but a little humour thrown in makes us feel good. Penny UK On 09/04/2005 18:33:08, fibromyalgia_support_group wrote:> I love this story. Guest guest
ROFL! Jaana you are the greatest chickie mom ever!! Hugs, Deb in CO. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ " All we have to do is decide what to do with the time that is given us. " ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Aloha all, Yesterday was a VERY full day --- First thing in the morning i had to go to the court house to correct some documents i filed a few days ago, and chickie had to come along (ofcourse) --- I was terrified of how the staff would react; so far having kept such professional behavior at the courthouse and never causing problems (except sometimes i make the X-RAY security thingie go off) (and once in a while i get into little arguments with ERNIE-High-O-Mighty). Anyway.... with chickie riding along on my shoulders, we went in --- and ALL the court staff were so pleasantly welcoming of him!!!!! EVERYONE came from their desks loaded with " awwws " and " coooos " (and 1001 questions about how he came about being on my shoulder - as usually chickies are looking down the barrel of a rifle because our island is overly infested with hens and roosters). Well, the little ham LOVED the attention and soon jumped right off my shoulder onto the counter to " parade " himself to all the court clerks (i kid you not!!! he was showing off and puffing up his chest and prancing back and forth like a runway model!!!) OK - So, good news is that chickie has so far been more than welcome to join me at all my places of business. After this, we had to drive 50 miles back north to do a vacation rental cleaning -- Chickie " helped " me for the full 3 hours and then took some time to " free-range " around the jungle and hunt. A couple roosters came around and chickie puffed out his chest as if he were ready to wage war against the enemies (sheeeeeeesh..... one of em coulda been his daddy!!) Directly after: I had bail calls coming in like crazy. I KNEW this was going to be a long afternoon/night and would be WAY too much to keep chickie on the road with me until so late at night -- SO.... I did the big scary experiment: I brought chickie home and put him in his basket..... he was so exhausted from his adventures .....he had a few nibbles and then went right under his rabbit skin for a nap. I very quietly snuck out of the house and waited outside the door for a few moments expecting to hear him start screaming his little head off and having to go back in and bring him along -- but, not a peep! So..... I took the leap of faith and took off to town without him!! it was a full 6 hours of bail bonding (and being in a constant state of worry & seperation anxiety over having left chickie back at home all by himself) before i finally returned, expecting to find chickie behind the door chirping his head off and my studio turned upside down and carpeted in poop. BUT, guess where he was???? He was still in his basket!!!!!!!!!! (this was a TRUE miracle.... I would never have expected it!) -- Ofcourse, as soon as he heard me come in, he jumped out and immediately and went into a 30-minute complaint about having been left behind and was glued to my side from there on. I'm SO proud of him!!!!!!! We've got the BEST chickie in the whole entire world for our Group Chickie!!!!! My pain level yesterday and today is a whole other story.... but, i'd rather talk about chickie.... alooooooooooha! jaaaaaaana & The Chickie-Meister -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
I gave this to my friends at the Syracuse ASPCA and they were laughing so hard one of them thought she was going to be sick. Thank you for making my friends who work to rescue animals for a living have faith in mankind again. One lady said it the best: If this lady would do this for a chicken think what she would do for a cat, dog or a kid. OK...just thinking about a toddler spoiled and left alone for 6 hours I would say please don't have a kid!!! LOL kidding! Joy
