Guest guest Posted October 2, 2004 Report Share Posted October 2, 2004 , Dotson died in November or early December last year from injuries received in a one car accident - on the way from Houston to Odessa. had married and moved to the Houston area, and he and his wife were on the way back to Odessa for a visit when something broke (like a front axle) on a new pickup they had just bought and caused Gloria to lose control. was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was in the hospital several days, and we thought he was going to survive, although he had massive injuries, but it was not to be. Gloria was also badly injured, multiple breaks of shoulder, arm, collar bone - I don't really know what all - - but she is doing all right now. If you knew , you know what a great guy he was. I had seen him every year and then he and his wife started attending our Fun Day's in Baytown and I got to see him up close and personal. He was a wonderful person and he will be missed. I can't believe our coordinator, who was really close to him, never made us aware of this tragedy. Thank you for the info. I am glad Gloria is doing okay even though did not survive.
