Lucilla I am riding the stationary bike every day for at least 30 minutes. then I do 30-40 sit ups (crunches). Sometimes I walk on the tread mill after that. I make sure I eat breakfast. Usually an egg bread and a grapefruit. Then lunch is 2 boneless skinless chiken thighs and cottage cheese, and another grapefruit. Dinner is a piece of meat, and salad. I have cheated a little today because I am having a potluck dinner here. I will have to ride the bike again tonight.. My biggest secret is I drink a lot of water, and NO POP. It just stimulates my appetite.

Good luck with the job interview in Rochester.

I wish I could be as determined as you guys. I want to lose the weight, but I just can't seem to get myself to do the exercise. I have a piece of equipment in my bedroom (my sister gave it to me)---it's not a treadmill but some sort of walker I guess--it has two separate pieces for each foot that move separately. But I just CAN'T seem to get myself to do it!!!! I'm too tired in the a.m.!! and I don't want to do it just before bedtime, as I'll get worked up and won't be able to sleep. With the warm weather coming, I'm hoping to maybe start walking around the block maybe every morning, but that just hasn't happened yet!

Eating wise, I do well when I'm at work---tea in the a.m. (no milk or sugar), oatmeal for breakfast, and then soup and salad at lunchtime, and some fruit midafternoon, as well as lots of water. But some evenings I get home, and I'm hungry, so I pick before I end up getting dinner going!!! But on the weekends, I tend to pig out!!

Maybe if I keep reading on this board about you successful weight losers, it may motivate me a bit more!!!!

Patty move that walker excerciser out in the living room. I hate it but you can exercise while you watch tv. As for snacking around dinner that is a classical time, but maybe, after you ask the Dr, you can take an appetite suppressor. If you take one in the afternoon you wont feel hungry at night. Just do it for a short time then go back on your own determination. My Dr actually prescribed one for me. I dont take it anymore, now I am just tired of being fat, and if I want to live to raise this grandson I have to lose some of this lard. Good luck, everyone has to reach their low point to decide to reduce. We are just like alcholics. Harsch but true. Remember this, even though I overeat in private my excess poundage is there for all the world to see how foolish I have been. This is part of the TOPS pledge. Print it on paper and put in on the fridge. Good luck
