I finally just couldn't stand it - I gotta have my weekly TOPS "fix" so I drove my hubby's truck to the meeting (scary! the tabs expired last month) Gained 2 pounds!! ACK!! guess I should have stayed home!! (it was all that darn junk food trying to stay awake driving back and forth to Laredo all weekend!!) I'm pretty proud of myself though - I actually figured out what was wrong with my van all by myself LOL (of course there WAS a picture to look at haha!) so while I was in town I picked up the parts to fix it and now it's just waiting for hubby to get back home to fix it for me heh now I have to decide who doesn't get paid this week but alas I need a vehicle and we don't have a clue when we're going to lose the truck -- but it will all work out eventually. Hubby's new job is supposed to be like 500.00 more per week than he was making so if we can just hold 'em all off for a couple of weeks things will definitely start turning around.....HEY! It'll all be ok once hubby gets home and fixes me I've got waayyy too much to do to be without transportation for long and I don't DARE drive that truck too much with the tabs expired like that - it was scary tonight LOL here I was driving along, almost to my destination thinking this is great haven't seen a cop one....ROFL all the sudden there are THREE squad cars with lights going and my heart just stopped! They were after someone else so I just quietly moseyed into the meeting and praying huge prayers of thanks for getting me there......and of course lots more prayers to get me back again LOL I made it and I'm staying put! my little old heart just can't take that much fear at one time ROFL! I am VERY, VERY grateful that this happened in the driveway and NOT during one of my many trips to Laredo this weekend!! whew! Poor van is probably just as tired as I am.....hmmm wonder what will break on ME now ROFL! I can remember (telling my age here) when I was a kid that we went to an outhouse and used pages from catalogs & magazines for toilet tissue!! We also had kerosene lamps for light and an oil burning stove in our living room - the only room in the house that was heated! So don't talk to me about "The good old days"!! HA! Maybe that's why I don't care about camping out! I can really appreciate the "conveniences" that we now have! Now who's rattling???
