There are no salesmen trying to sell you a car, there are not follow up calls or letters asking you about buying, they are just giving the money to our cause. Each year, the local affiliate of Komen also chooses a "hero" to represent the affiliate in the area. (our area is a 12 parish area in Northeast Louisiana). The hero is honored on that day for his/her work in fighting b.c. His/her picture is also placed on the hero's car and driven across country until the final day when it is put in a museum. This year's hero for the NELA Affiliate of the G. Breast Cancer Affiliate is me! I am so excited. If you have any friends in our area, tell them to come by Hixon Autoplex on Louisville Ave. in Monroe, LA on April 28 and drive a few BMW's and visit with me.
