hi, my name is laura. i was diagnosed with a fibroid in 1985. at that time

the one i had was sitting on the outside of the top of my uterus and was the

size of a walnut. it is now the size of a grapefruit and i now have another

one formed on the outside of the side of my uterus. it is the size of a

baseball. i was referred to an obgyn/surgeon by my obgym because she didnt

perform surgery. after seeing this doctor on dec. 31st i have decided on an

u.a.e.. he said this was the best procedure for someone like me considering

the sizes of my tumors and the position of them. i cant tell you how

unbelievably impressed at the careing and consideration he showed me. his

name is doctor davidson and he is working within the henry ford hospital

group in michigan and i highly recommend him to anyone in this area. he

told me most doctors would tell me to have a hysterectomy because they would

make more money, he said he would make 1000.00 if he performed one. he

told me he wanted to do what was best for me. he recommended AUE for me and

said i had a 75% chance of it taking effect. if i dont show any signs of

improvement after 6 months then he would want to perform a myectomy on me.

while i was in his office he performed a procedure on my womb which involved

putting a cathedar through my cervix and suctioning off some of the lining to

be tested for cancer. he said this was a precautionary act and he had no

reason to believe i have cancer. if i show some cancer cells then he would

want to perform a hysterectomy.i get these results on monday jan. 7th and

needless to say i am anxious to get them. girls i just cant express enough

my feelings of gratitude for having found a patient and caring doctor. i have

never seen a male obgyn and i have been seeing one routinely for 26 years.

i am pleasantly surprised at the qualities i have found in this one. if

anyone can talk to me about what i can expect during and after i have this

procedure please write and share your experiences. i am anxious to have this

done. the pressure i am having on my colon and bladder are getting

unbearable.
