UFE causes degeneration.

There was a study in London on " laser ablation of fibroids " but I have

only been able to read one report on it when it was in it's early

stages. I have no idea what the outcome was.

There is also a new procedure that uses ultrasound to destroy fibroids.

I haven't read anything new on that lately either. Since both of

these procedures are done by obgyns, I would imagine there will be more

support for them from the gyn community if they are proven to be

effective.

Actually, these procedures aren't done by gyns. They're done by radiologists.

But, completely

patient managed by gyns.

Look for more info on this soon as the next phase of the clinical trial gets

underway in the coming

year....the researchers will be looking for patients to enroll and we certainly

hope to share the

patient selection criteria and locations the trial is available in as soon as

possible.

I've been wondering the very same thing ever since I first read about

calcification. It makes sense, doesn't it?
