What to do if T3 is withheld from us in the hospital

I was just reading a post in RTH that someone was in the hospital with a very

high pulse (150-180). I'm sure it was low potassium or low sodium or low

cortisol and of course the hospital didn't have a clue about that.

My question however is this. They did only a TSH (oh surprise surprise) which

was .2 or something. They told her she's hyper and that's why her pulse is this

high. Never mind she was on Armour for a long time before this but whatever for

their stupidity. So, they denied her any Armour while she was in the hospital.

I guess that wouldn't be so super bad for a couple of days because it's Armour

but what would happen to us T3 only folks if we were denied T3 for a number of

days? Obviously, we'd go very hypo very quickly and perhaps have to start at

square one but what else could happen? Are we talking some kind of emergency?

I was already thinking I'd tell my family to sneak it in. It worries me, the

control they have over you in the hospital.
