Guest guest
Jimmy, so thoughtfully pointed out: " Ijust saw the medal totals for the olympics.I guess the united states won the most medals,Australia was number 5 on the list.Oops, didn't see Canada on the list:)))))))))))))))).Be sure to shake those male TENNIS PLAYERS:) hands for me. Jimmy " Ah ... we're down there somewhere around number 17th place with like 14 medals. Somewhere below Belarus (yes, I'm hanging my head in mock shame). I think we're not doing so good 'cause most of our athletes have stopped doping. I'm still proud of each and every victory that we had though .. Simon in Triathalon, the men in tennis, women in synchro swim and synchro diving (very strange sport) ... our Judo gal and our wrestling guy ... and our dynamic trampoline people (how did trampoline ever make it into the olympics? is skateboarding next?) I'm also happy for people like Paola Pezzo the wicked awesome (read: fox) Italian mountain biking chick. And Freeman, the Aussie starlet. I cried for our athletes who tried so hard, yet often couldn't come up with all the right stuff. I felt robbed as I'm sure everyone in Australia did when their woman race walker, who was in the gold medal position, was disqualified upon entering the stadium. Hats off to Australia, and Sydney in particular for an awesome games. I hope everyone watches next year when the worl track and field championships are in my hometown -- Edmonton. I hope we can do half as good a job. BTW, INXS (minus Hutchins, of course) was supposed to perform the closing ceremonies. Were they there? What did they play? One question is how could North America lose all their power in the field of mountain biking? And how long will it be until surfing is an olympic sport? __ " What we know is not so important as What we do not know " Http://www.westerncanada.com/~jchartra
